Anomaly Detection

ATC-NY developed an intrusion detection system for CORBA applications, inspired by the activity of the human immune system. Our intrusion detection system provides several features:

• Low-cost: System agents are easily deployed and managed, with low performance overhead, low false alarm rates, and low audit storage requirements.
• Scaleable: System agents may be added at will as a network system grows in size, providing flexible scalability.
• Adaptable: Our system defines "self" in a local and dynamic way, enabling it to respond to local conditions and adapt to new or upgraded environments.
• Able to Detect Novel Intrusions: Since our system compares network behavior to the network "self" definition, it will detect novel intrusions as well as known attacks.
