Intra Vehicle Adaptive Computing, Network Security, and Networking Using Ultra Wideband (UWB) Technology
Ultra Wideband (UWB) technology provides high-speed, low-power wireless networks with a low probability of detection and interception, and is resistant to jamming. This promising technology lacks support above the physical layer to provide capabilities that the Army requires for intra-vehicle communication for real-time, multimedia data streams. ATC-NY designed the SQUAWB (Secure QoS-enhanced UltrA WideBand) protocol to support the efficient use of the frequency spectrum among multiple simultaneous users. SQUAWB supports QoS guarantees and provides security in a dynamic environment in which the underlying capabilities of the physical layer, such as bandwidth, change due to the environment and adversaries.
